Janis Commerce at eRetail Day Mexico: an omnichannel success story with Chedraui
eRetail Day Mexico, organized by the eCommerce Institute And the AMVO, is one of the most relevant events for the digital and retail ecosystem in Latin America. This year, at Janis Commerce, we were proud to participate to share a success story that reflects our commitment to the digital transformation of retail: the experience together with Chedraui Group, one of the most important retailers in Mexico.
Our CEO and Co-Founder, Francisco Mato, shared the stage with Dennys Espinoza, Deputy Director Omnichannel Strategy & Ecommerce of Grupo Chedraui, to tell how, working together, we managed to solve key challenges of omnichannel retail with advanced technology, intelligent processes and a committed team. The conversation revolved around a central question: How to combine intelligence and operational simplicity so that Chedraui could scale without sacrificing control or efficiency?
“We work with clients like Chedraui, who handle large volumes and extensive store capillarity, where even small inefficiencies can scale quickly and generate significant impacts. That's where we come in: as a technological partner, we help to optimize every part of the operation and to boost its growth in an intelligent way”, Francisco said.
During the talk, some of the main retail challenges in Mexico were addressed and how the implementation of Janis Commerce Distributed Order Management (DOM) solutions allowed Chedraui to:
✅ Orchestrate multi-channel orders with dynamic rules.
✅ Unify inventory in real time between physical stores, dark stores and distribution centers.
✅ Optimize the delivery promise with accurate calculations based on stock and logistics capacity.
✅ Reduce costs and delivery times with last-mile planning and intelligent carrier selection.
In this regard, Dennys Espinoza highlighted:
“Managing an enormous amount of data and fragmented operational information represented a major challenge for us. We had just been through a pandemic and were faced with the challenge of ensuring that millions of item-store combinations were available to the customer, with the right inventory, the right price and the promise of delivery fulfilled. In addition, we had to respond with an increasingly demanding time to market. In this context, having Janis Commerce as a strategic partner was key. It allowed us to operate with impeccable efficiency and successfully overcome these challenges.”
The result: a more agile, cost-effective and customer-focused operation. ⚡
In addition to the main presentation, part of the Janis Commerce team was at the event accompanying the experience: Julio Zamora (Regional Sales Manager) and María del Carmen Carrales (PO), who were able to talk with other industry leaders about the challenges and opportunities of omnichannel retail in the region.
We especially want to thank the eCommerce Institute and the Mexican Online Sales Association (AMVO) for the space, and Grupo Chedraui for their trust in telling this story of collaboration.
At Janis Commerce, we remain committed to helping retailers in Latin America grow with technology that enables the best omnichannel experience.
We are proud to announce that Libertad, one of the most renowned supermarket chains in Argentina, once again trusts Janis Commerce to continue transforming its digital operation.
